Dream-opera “UnSimple” based on the Taras Prohasko’s novel
Music by Roman Grygoriv and Illya Razumeiko
A grand and a toy piano, a toneless contrabass and an old creaky violin, mysterious drums and piercing voice of wizard Prohasko will be combined in a 5-hour performance-lullaby by formation Nova Opera, which will last from midnight to the sunrise. In the morning the signer and songwriter Chen Un Dzia will greet the sun with the melodies of Chinese folk songs.
Spectators will wrap themselves in the soft blanket, lay down comfortably on the mattresses, instead of hard chairs, and will listen to the opera as to a dream. Falling asleep, dreaming somewhere between slumber and reality, spectators will become active participants of the opera. In the morning, everyone will get a chance to become a storyteller, an unsimple, and to write down their dreams in the “Book of Dreams”.
A musical trip to the fantastic Yalivets, which was lost somewhere in Carpathian mountains, letters, monochromatic photos, which show world wars and personal tragedies, love and death. All those will turn July night into incredible 3-acts dreamOpera performance (about three Annas).
P.S. It is forbidden to enter the performance with mobile phones turned on. Before the start of the performance all electronic devices will be checked and turned off. We also ask you do not bring any food and beverages with you. All the spectators will get a chance to enjoy hot tea or coffee and some sweets between the acts.
